Ludlow Ghost Walk Returns with a Bloody Grim Halloween Special for 2025

Ludlow’s streets are set to come alive with spine-chilling tales and eerie encounters this Halloween, as The Ludlow Historic Ghost Walk returns with its “Bloody Grim Halloween Ludlow Ghost Walk Special” on Friday, 31st October 2025.

Each year, this much-loved local tradition brings history and horror to life, and 2025 promises to be the biggest yet filled with macabre characters, local legends, and theatrical storytelling under the cover of darkness.

A Frightful Line Up

This year’s ghostly expedition will once again be led by Dr Atlas, who will guide brave souls through the narrow streets and haunted corners of Ludlow. Joining him are a cast of sinister figures from the town’s dark past, including:

  • The Mad Woman of Clun
  • The Butcher
  • The Victorian Rat Catcher
  • The Celt
  • The Murdering Nun
  • And, of course, The Ludlow Witch Godda, who’s promised to bring something wickedly amusing “from the top shelf of the local supermarket.”

Expect gory tales, bursts of laughter, and a uniquely Ludlow mix of history and humour with a few scares thrown in for good measure.

Organiser Leon Bracelin warns that spaces are limited and tend to sell out quickly. “Last year we even had a few tickets appear on the black market which was a first,” he joked.

So if you fancy laughing (and screaming) in the face of 2025, make sure to grab your tickets early.

A Ludlow Halloween Tradition

The Ludlow Ghost Walk has become a firm fixture in the town’s calendar, mixing local folklore with performance and a touch of black comedy. Each walk offers a glimpse into Ludlow’s darker side where the line between history and haunting begins to blur.
