Ludlow’s lovers of myths, legends and winter magic are in for a treat this December as a special Yule Tales of Britain Live storytelling event arrives at Castle Bookshop.
The festive show, taking place at 3pm on Saturday 20th December in the bookshop’s Secret Garden, will bring an hour of folktales from Scotland, England and Wales, performed by Brother Bernard known to many from his TV appearance on Susan Calman’s Great British Cities.
Visitors are encouraged to wrap up warm as the show takes place outdoors, but organisers promise a cosy, atmospheric afternoon filled with humour, history and heartwarming storytelling.
A modern twist on classic folklore
Yule Tales of Britain offers a fresh 21st-century retelling of traditional tales, blending ancient stories with contemporary charm. The event aims to celebrate Britain’s diverse folklore heritage while giving audiences of all ages a fun and festive experience.
An honesty box office will operate on the day, allowing attendees to pay what they wish. Signed copies of Tales of Britain will also be available to purchase for those wishing to take the magic home.
